Petersham RSL Club History
Founded in 1924 Petersham RSL Club has been serving the community for nearly 100 Years. providing entertainment & a social environment.
Committee Formed
Committee formed to arrange for the establishment of a permanent memorial to the men and women of the district who had served in the First World War.
1917
Foundation Stone Laid
Major-General C.H Brand, C.B. C.M.G, D.S.C, laid the Foundation Stone of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall on November 8, 1924 (old club house located on New Canterbury Road).

Relocation to Regent
In 1961 the Petersham RSL Sub- Branch moved into its new premises in Regent Street. State RSL President Sir William Yeo officially opened the new building on June 24 of that year.

Petersham RSL Today
The Prime Minister of Australia the Hon Anthony Albanese officially opened the new Petersham RSL Club in August 2022.
